Moonlight and Starlight on Summer Nights!
By Car (Carolyn Reynolds)
Ralph's picture in the upper margins certainly does make me believe in blue moons and summer nights. Truly beautiful isn't it? If only the heat wasn't such a foul guest into our summers. Maybe, if you're bothered by the heat you'll find something helpful in this issue. Or maybe, if you've found some ways of dealing with it you'd like to share.
Our theme this month amounts to the launching of a new section in our magazine, and I'm calling it Tips and Tricks. This month I've loaded all the recipes under the new section title, and all the other tips for dealing with MS are to be found in Theme. I'll link the two sections together so try not to get lost! From now on, anytime you'd like to share a tip or recipe for making life easier, just send it on it for our new section. I predict it'll always have some helpful information in it.
Our poets have outdone themselves again this month. Don't miss a single one of them, and you just may want to visit our Poetry more than once this month. While your mind is wandering around, let it wander to our Fiction section and sample the fantasies our writers have in store for you this month. These stories are outstanding, as always!
FYI is very interesting this month with both some reports on treatment options like Tysabri, and a very intriguing journal on a new one being tested in FDA clinical trials, Tovaxin. There are some very good links to further information in that article. If you've missed an article you now want to catch up, go into Archives where you'll find over a year's worth of our past issues. Hey, if you're new here, please go into our Guestbook and let us know what you think!
Features are just that, columns that come back each month for your reading enjoyment. I know you'll find some favorite writers there, so be sure to give them all an equal shot this month. I think you'll like what you find! We really do have something for everyone here, and Features will help you to see that. Real Life Stories are just that, many of them giving testimony to the fact that we are all going on in spite of our MS!
There's just so much here to see and read! Believe me, you don't want to miss any of it. Be sure to save us to your Favorites or Bookmark us so we're easy to get to. Our address will stay the same month to month. If you're looking for more information about MS, our Related Links contain many links to some varied sites, so take a look and see what you can find that pleases you and your doctor. If you want to write something yourself for the magazine, you can see a full listing of everyone in this issue, plus find some instructions on how to go about submitting an article, all on our Who's in Issue page. To see what the plan is for our Theme for August, read all about it in Ahead to August.
Would you like to put a face to some of the writers you've found in this issue? If so, you'll find most of them in our Gallery pages. There are pictures and short biographies for you to check out of many of us.
We've been given many Awards, so check those out too. And once you make your way through our July issue, you'll certainly see why!
July has arrived! Soak up all you can of the summer while it's with us, my friends. And don't forget to do some moon gazing, too!
