Playing this page: In the Summertime Here's a Real Thinker for August! By Car (idea from Sherry) Is pain a tool for soul
refining? Are Those Who Claim, Ok, gang, this is one for you to chew on awhile before you tackle it! Heck, maybe you are already coming up with some example from your life to tie into this topic. Heaven knows, we have all become acquainted with that old bug-a-boo pain. And have you ever been told by someone that unless you have some form of pain with what you are doing, like an exercise a P/T wants you to learn to do, that you will not realize a gain. Is this true for those of us dealing with MS or another chronic illness? Maybe the pain you are thinking about is not the physical kind at all, but the pain of a love lost, or a relationship with a family member gone astray. I'm thinking of lots of ways this could go, and like always, looking forward already to the many directions this theme will take us. Isn't this the fun part, reading everyone's interpretations of each new theme. Just like our MS is very individualized, our writing always is also. I think that's the sign of a talented group of people! I don't think you want to argue with me on this point! Have fun with it! Just because it has "pain" in it, that doesn't mean it can't be fun or funny. Maybe it'll take a serious turn, but that's just up to the individual. Thanks to all of you for helping to make this magazine the quality work it has become. We started out strong and have grown with each of the 70 so far issues. I can hardly wait to see what comes in each month. I'm so lucky to get to see it all and read it all during each month. The more spread out it is over the month, the better I like it. Hardly a night goes by that I don't fall to sleep thinking about something new that's come in for the next issue. How great is that! I hope you're keeping cool and enjoying your summer. Drink it all in, my friends, even if it's looking at it through the window.
