By Holly Yes, I have pictures hanging on my bathroom walls many as a matter of fact. Even have a couple in my husband’s bathroom. I have pictures on every wall and room in my house, I just can’t stand a bare wall. They are of a wide variety and many I have made my self. They reflect my interests, show my family and tells anyone who comes in that I REALLY love coastlines or water scenes. They show my favorite places I have been to and also interests of my husband. Some of the pictures are very old and have quite a story to tell in themselves and they are treasures to me. I like to stand in front of them and just reflect back on many years ago, and think about how I now have these pictures and the roads we all traveled since then. When I am having a bad day nothing brings calm over me like gazing at a favorite view of somewhere special, maybe somewhere I have never even been. The beauty of picture just engulfs me and I can "go there" maybe again or just a pretty imaginative of what it would be like to go where I have not yet visited. Pictures to me prolong and magnify happy times and moments and that is what I love best about them. I also like sharing in my families or friends pictures for then I feel like a part of me was with them in their happy times. Also I like doing ‘art work’ with favorite pictures so it is like reliving it all again. You just can’t have too many happy times so I like to relish in them with Art Programs. What can be taken from you…. but never missed…. but given back to you in memories? Why pictures of course J
