Finally, at last, winter has left us, or so we all hope! It's spring, March came in like the lion and out like a lamb in my corner of the world. Now I have spring to savor and to treasure each moment of the temperatures my body now craves, needs. It is indeed the Last Stop Before Summer!

We have Jay to thank for our May theme, and it'll be a dandy one, too. You can read anything into it you'd like. Perhaps you want to talk about the wonderful weather of spring where you are, or maybe it's not wonderful at all and you'd like to share that.

Maybe you are NOT looking forward to summer because of what the temperatures do to you and your MonSter. But then again, maybe your MS is more manageable when the temperatures are warmer, so that would mean you are looking forward to the summer months.

Maybe spring holds some special memories for you of times past, or some anticipation of the spring before us. You've made some plans you'd like to share, or maybe you'd like to talk about what you'd be planning to do if you could.

That should give you a fair start on the theme for May. Do remember that May brings us Mother's Day and anything concerning that special day will of course be welcome.

Like always, please never feel tied to any theme idea. There is always room here for anything you'd like to write. Our poems and short stories are always top notch, and I know I'm looking forward to May's submissions. Our writers are as good as any you'll find anywhere!!

Please, if you have not yet written, don't be afraid to try your hand at it. It can be a wonderful, sometimes even magical way of dealing with your feelings about being stuck in the world with a chronic illness in tow. Together we'll get through this just fine, I promise!

Please get your submissions in to me for the May issue no later than April 29. And please, don't forget to enjoy the season!
