From Judy: "I just wanted to let you know that we had to put Pepper down today. She was a great kitty who was almost 16 years old. We've had her since she was 2 months old. She was just so broken down and in so much pain that we felt that we had to put her out of her misery. She hadn't really been herself for the past year. The kids went with me and we all said our goodbyes. I know she isn't suffering anymore, but our house is really empty tonight. We'll be OK, but we'll really miss her, she was such a part of our family. Here is a poem I wrote for our dear little friend." PEPPER By
Judy Our little furry friend, we see you slipping away And we see less and less of the real you each day.
Even though you’ve lost weight and you’re not very pretty, We know down deep that you’re still our dear kitty.
It’s breaking our hearts to see you suffering so, But it hurts even
more knowing that it’s time for you to go.
The first time we saw you, you stole our heart.
Enough that you had a commanding meow that wouldn’t quit;
At first our family was only us three; Then along came Elizabeth, our firstborn baby.
And “Kitty” was the first word she learned to talk.
Just when you figured out how to get up and walk away, We had Jacob, who loves you dearly to this day.
If any dog came onto your territory you sent them flying.
And long after you leave us, we will carry you forever in our heart.
And your memory will always be so very sweet.
Goodbye sweet Pepper our love for you will never cease Into our Heavenly
Father’s arms we give you sweet release.
