Playing this page: Never My Love Rites of Passage with MS By Car One of our newer writers, Cheshl, sent me a list of possible Theme ideas to use over the next months, and I read over them again and decided on this one for our March issue. Thanks again, Cheshl! Rites of Passage in MS ~ what does that mean? Again I think this month's theme leaves that interpretation wide open. Rites of Passage with your MS is going to be completely different from anyone else's because of the nature of this MonSter of ours. He treats each of us completely differently. So what has come your way and how you've managed to deal with it in your lives will be a very personal story to tell. My personal Rite of Passage will certainly include my attempt to work after my diagnosis, and my disappointment in not being able to continue to teach. What seemed like the darkest time in my life led me to start this magazine, so that's part of my Rite of Passage too. Maybe you are still not knowing how to deal with MS in your life. That could also make a good article. I know many would identify with that lost feeling of not knowing, or feeling like life is now no longer in your hands at all. How did you take back control? Lots of stories are there waiting to be told, too. Inspire others by telling your own personal way of dealing with this chronic illness that's come to stay with us. You never know when some small something you say may inspire another to go on and to not feel so helpless anymore. As you see, this March issue upcoming could turn out to be one of our most helpful and inspirational ones yet. Tell your personal Rite of Passage, and by sharing help another MSer! You know anything you'd like to write about is always just fine. The magazine needs that variety every month. Keep those poems and stories coming!
