Do I get frustrated?

You’d better believe!

Am I angry as hell?

You’ve got to know it!

Am I stronger than you?

How could I be!

How do I manage to go on?

Am I always optimistic?

You’ve got to be kidding!

How do I manage a smile?

Nothing else to do!

Did I do all I had planned in life?

NO, Did YOU?

But yet I DO manage to go on!

Can I help you to get through?

Only if you want me to!

Can I wave a magic wand?

Don’t I just wish!

Do I ever want to just give up?

But then where would I be!

Take my hand and we will go on together!

How do we venture to places unknown?

Only by faith and sheer will!

How do we keep hope alive?

Only by hanging onto it tight!

How do we live with an incurable curse?

One day at a time!

One day at a time we’ll walk side by side!
