Real Life Stories

Gee, was a whole 3 weeks and 1 day that we were gone. The time just flew by, though. I'm writing this to all of you since I figured you'd want to know how the trip went.

Well, before I left home, I found out my sister was in the hospital. We arrived there on a Friday, and she was still in and they weren't sure what they were going to do. The following Tues.. they put in a pacemaker. Said it was the last thing left to do. She seems to be doing fine and believe it or not, she came home on the next day. It really put a "crimp" in our plans but I was so thankful we were there. She has no other family in Florida.

Then the fun began.... We saw Chris/Chevy the following Sunday. Had a lovely visit and that little guy of hers, oh, is he ever cute!! John seemed very nice, too. Was just so good seeing her again.

Went back to my sister's and stayed a day and then headed over to the West coast to meet Donna/Maxie. After driving in circles for a while, when we got to Bradenton, we finally found a motel. Met Donna and Rick and sure did have a wonderful visit, too. Of course, I felt like I knew Donna real well. Now I can put a person on that name. LOL Was simply great!!

Well, we're not done yet. Met another gal online a few months ago and found out she lived in Bradenton, too. You know me, I had to meet her, too. Just spent about an hour with her and was so happy. She lives alone and is in a wheelchair. I was the first person she had met who she talked to online. She goes by the nickname of CJ. Met her in the Musings chat.

Poor Bob, by now he was surely bored, but I made him go along for the ride.LOL

Then it was back to my sister's and we spent a few days again with her. On Monday we left to go to Stuart, FL to visit some friends "snowbirds" from St. Louis. They took us sightseeing and we got to see how the wealthy live in Palm Beach. Spent 2 days with them.

Oh well, figured I'd rather live my life the way I am. LOL

Headed north and went on to St. Augustine to meet another online friend. I met her in the MSPosse and The Elite email groups. Her name is Michele and what an experience that was. She is an adoptive mother and also a foster mother. Had 4 kiddos. 2 mos., 5 mos., 11 mos., and 27 mos. Boy does she have her hands full, and those babies were just precious. With her MS, I don't know how she handles all this. Just spent a short time and headed for Franklin, TN. Homeward bound.

Went to see Vicki and David from the MS Musings group. Precious kiddos and had a great time. Spent the evening there. They have 2 kiddos, girl 8 and boy 2. Was proud of ourselves, actually found their place in the dark. David was so sweet and drove ahead of us when we went back to the motel. Sure did help.

All in all, this was a wonderful trip for me. Oh yes, and I even got to see my nephew. He had also planned his trip before he knew his mother was in the hospital. Had a good time with him and his 9 yr. old daughter.

Was shocked when I came home and found out I had 1,000 emails in my box. Couldn't open it, though. Spent a lot of time with AOL trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally have solved the problem. Now it's delete and delete!!! Next time I'll have to figure how to not get all these. Made me feel important! ha ha So many junk mail in there, guess I'm popular with them, too. ha ha

I suppose I've bored you all. Now it's back to the "old grind" again . When the pictures come back, I'll send some along.
