Biding Another Year Goodbye By Car (Carolyn Reynolds) Another year has reached its end, where does time fly off to? With the ending of the year and the welcoming of a new year comes the usual and expected making of resolutions that most often don't get followed at all. Instead of making resolutions in the past few years, the years since MS came to visit and didn't bother to leave, I've used this time of year for something different. I like to take a look back at the past year, of the years that have passed since my diagnosis in '97, and see just where the MonSter has taken me. I've found that upon close inspection, I do seem to be holding my own, not getting any worse anyway. Maybe that would make a good theme for January. Let's use the January issue to do a little bit of an inspection of our lives, to make an accounting of where we are in this waltz with MS. Please, don't let this be a depressing job, but look at it as a way of seeing your lives as not too terrible after all! Let's look for the positives we find, seeing what in our lives is good and right in spite of MS! Do let this be a good voyage of discovery, my friends. And if you don't find anything positive in your life, well, we'd like to hear about that, also. It doesn't have to be all hearts and flowers all the time, does it? Let me take this opportunity to again thank all of you for being with me in this endeavor we call MS MuSings. I know I say it all the time, but I simply couldn't do it without each and every one of you, and I thank you. Please, stick with me on these pages and we'll keep this magazine going on and on! It keeps me going, and I hope it gives you a little ray of hope too. Happy New Year, My Dear Friends!
~And a sweet farewell to you, 2003~
