Looking Forward. . . .

by Car (Carolyn Reynolds)

Anyone dealing with a chronic illness like MS knows that it sometimes gets very difficult to look forward, to look ahead. We've spent the last few months with MS problems as our theme, and there are sure plenty of those plaguing us, so let's have a change of pace for August.  Strat suggested this one, and I think it'll be a good one for all of us!

As we get into August most will be glad to see the heat of summer winding down, and many will be looking forward to the fall season not too far ahead of us. Some of us will even be seeing ahead to our get together in October in St. Louis.

You know, ever since I was a kid I always had to have something in life to look forward to. That hasn't changed one bit; I need to still always be looking ahead in life to something good, and not worrying about something that could happen. Not always an easy task, but a worthy one.

So, let's do it! Let's all dig deep inside and just see what we each have to look forward to.  Perhaps it's the addition of a new person to the family, or something new in your life. Maybe you are starting a new treatment plan, or excited about one you've heard about. I know several of you are working on writing a book, several of you have books on the shelves right now. . . . that's a good something in your lives!

There are just so many possibilities to consider.  Maybe something as simple as seeing the leaves on the trees turning, or maybe something a whole lot more complex. This is one of those themes that can lead you down so many paths. Please, just let your minds wander and play with this one!

So for August, we'll all be  Looking Forward.
