MY CLOTHES LINE

by Dianne Fox  © 2002

My clothesline doesn't set idle,

It gets a lot of use.

I hang the laundry with loving care

and think of my family and friends there.

My head looks upward

my arms lifted high.

I thank the Lord for the

clouds and the sky.

I converse with the Lord at my old clothesline

and His words are so dear.

I laugh and talk with Him there

and at times I shed a tear.

No, my clothesline doesn't set idle

It gets a lot of use.

I hang my laundry up with care

And I talk to God there.
