Poem

By Sherry Kersey

Military Wives

Those Ladies who have invisible wings
A heart's melody that echoes daily prayers sing
"He`s Coming Home"
"He`s Coming Home"
"He`s Coming Home"

It may be a week, a month
 or perhaps a few years,
As she mans home's turf with the constant
 flame of hope and cheer.

Tending to her many tasks at hand
needing not, nor demanding credit accolades,
During times of fear and stress
she will be ever found in her smiling dress
refusing any thread of mind's shade.

Wearing not a badge to show she's
the undeniable strength behind her man,
Who sometimes sacrifices All
to preserve freedom for each and every
"American!"
