Playing this page: Blue Christmas What Lies Ahead in 2008? Are you Looking to the New Year with Anticipation, Regret, Fear? By Car (Carolyn Reynolds)
Here we go again, and let's not even talk about resolutions this year, well, unless you really want to, then feel free. Instead I thought we might do a little serious soul-searching and really think about what the new year means in our lives. Are you Looking Forward to the New Year? If so, why? Are you awaiting the New Year with Anticipation? If so, what are you anticipating in your life? Please do share. Perhaps you have Regrets and and feeling something entirely different as the New Year draws upon us. What has happened in the passing year that has caused you regret? Maybe Fear is foremost in your thoughts for the New Year ahead. Those of us who live with the MonSter sure know about Fear, it seems to be with us all the time. There's the fear of falling, the fear of embarrassing ourselves, fear of not being able to do what we could last week, yesterday or maybe even this morning. Then we don't like to think ahead because nobody can tell us what lies ahead. It's one of the things that makes MS so difficult to live with. Do some thinking, my friends. See where this theme leads you... perhaps in more than one direction, and that's just fine. Maybe it'll be uplifting and filled with words of encouragement to others, or maybe it will be a soul-bearing piece that reflects what you are thinking about. Use the opportunity to write about it, my friends. Let's take this opportunity and see where it takes us. As the end of the year approaches much too fast, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy New Year.
