August is Upon Us Now!

By Car (Carolyn Reynolds)

We sure do hope y'all have nice cool places to spend you time. What could be better than a nice tall cold iced drink, some great air conditioning, and an absolutely terrific August issue of MS MuSings! This issue can take you away with the imagination of some Fiction or Poetry, or it can ground you with some good information in FYI.

Our Features section is really a good cross section of MSers in MS MuSings. Some of it is serious, some funny, but all inspiring to read.  Equally inspiring will be our Theme articles this month.  And don't forget to check our Tips &Tricks for some good advice and recipes to make life a little easier. Remember this is now a regular feature, so if you have any good advice or a good recipe that'll help us out, please do send in!

Real Life Stories are always just that, some about living with MS and all its triumphs and challenges, some about other aspects of life.  You'll find much there to make you smile, I promise. Be sure to read about Paul Nicholas, a young man with MS and a new CD out with part of the proceeds  donated to finding a cure for MS.

We have other Monthly Features, also, so don't forget about these. Our Related Links have attracted many MSers looking for information. We try to keep this up to date, and if you find any dead links, do please let me know and I'll try to keep it fresh for  you.  Who's in Issue offers up a list of all the writers for the month, and also some suggestions for writing for us for the first time. We always welcome new writers who are very important to us. We have received many Awards, so check these out, too.

Ahead to September will give you our chosen theme for the upcoming month, very helpful to read early so the ideas you have can ripen in your mind.  We will be celebrating our Anniversary with the September issue, so if you have anything to say about that, please do share. If you like putting a face to the names of people you are reading, the majority of writers here are in the Gallery.  Both pictures and short biographies are contained in those pages.

If you are new to MS MuSings, please take the time to sign our Guestbook. We do love hearing what you think about what we're doing.  And if you've missed something in a past issue, many of these are in the Archives. When it is too full once again, I'll be saving them to a CD and let you know how you can get one of those to keep.

Are you looking for a message board community related to MS? The World of MS MuSings certainly has much to offer.  Pincushion, Des, and annnieM work at keeping it going, and I check in as often as I can. It's a good place to find support and maybe make some good friends, too.

As our summer starts to run down in August we hope you take the time to read all that we've given you this month. It is all great, and I'm very proud to be a part of it!
