Marking Love and Loss

By Car (Carolyn Reynolds)

It seems impossible that 2004 is already marching along to February. February brings with it the celebration of Valentines Day, and thoughts of love.  But it is with great sadness that I must report that Carla, CarLadacle on the board that has grown from this magazine, recently died.  I don't know the circumstances, but I do know she is greatly missed by those on The World of MS MuSings board who got to know her well.  Her upbeat attitude and willingness to share her many signatures with those on the board made her a special part of The World of MS MuSings.  She helped out Pincushion as an assistant manager, also.  Carla is missed by many.

Are you wondering what you can do about MS? Jen and Cpearl have taken the questions many of you readers have sent them. With these they have compiled a questionnaire/survey and hope each and every one of you will answer the questions.  It's an easy process, so please click here to take the survey:  Survey and Questionnaire. They will compile the results and have their findings from the questions in the March issue.

This brings me to Theme for this month, and that is Love.  Our writers give you a wonderful cross section of opinions in our Theme section. Please read and enjoy their works.  In our Poetry this month, there are a couple of poems written in tribute to Carla, and many contain references to love, also.  As always, our Poets are again showing they are among the best you will find anywhere.  I'm always so proud of the poetry that comes to MS MuSings. Equally impressive are our short stories this month, as they always are.  Don't forget to spend some time reading this month's Fiction selections.

In FYI we attempt to keep you aware of anything going on with MS.  Please know that we are not endorsing or recommending anything for the treatment of your MS, but we like to help you stay abreast of what is going on.  Our Features writers are at their usual quality for the  month, and I do hope you are finding your favorites among them.

If you'd like to consider writing something for us and are interested in knowing what the suggested Theme is for March, just click Ahead to March and we'll try to let you know.  Theme is just a suggestion, always.  I welcome anything you'd like to write about, always.

You can meet many of us in our Gallery where over 50 are right there for you to see and read about.  And if you're new to us, please take the time to sign our Guestbook, or check out some past  issues in our Archives.  Our Issues for 2003 will soon be available on CD if anyone would like them, and I also can get you the past issues up to 2003.  It's hard to believe that this issue marks our 53rd online!

If you are looking for an online message board and community with a lot of heart, I'd certainly suggest you visit The World of MS MuSings and check out all that is going on there.

Remember as we enter the month of Love to embrace those in your own life that you love!
