SUNDAY’S MESSAGE

By Sarkis A. Slyman

We Never Know When

Food For Thought

Friday I had to put one of my dogs, Nala, down. She was a good dog but rather old for age. She was over 100 years old. I believe she had a stroke a few days ago and in the coming days she was getting worse. Anyway, I know
she lived a good life and she is now out of pain.

Any way you look at it the experience made me sad but it also drew my attention to one fact. We never know when our time is going to be up. The decision to put her down only came around 12 o’clock yesterday and she was
taken to the vet around 3:45 PM.

In many ways I am rather jealous for her. You see, she had people who loved her to decide to put her out of her misery. As humans, we are not given that choice. Drugs may be used to lessen our pain but only God is allowed to take
our lives. It is even more important for us to have a deep faith and leave our lives in Gods hands.

How do you say goodbye to a loved one? I do not have any answer for this. But as with everything else I will trust in God and in Jesus Christ to give me all the strength I need.

Mission Statement
To help anyone reading this to better understand God and his importance in
our lives whether we are in perfect condition both physically and mentally
or we are being faced with one or more trials or experiences.

To Join This Group Or If You Want out
I do my best to send out one of my ponderings every day Monday through
Friday. Many people belong to this group and automatically receive my
ponderings daily. Others choose to receive my ponderings by having them
forwarded every day by others. The choice is up to you but I myself hope to
have a person join this group so that I am sure they are receiving my
ponderings daily.
Likewise, there are rare occasions but they do occur when someone wants to
be removed from this group.
Either way, all a person has to do is send me an e-mail at the following
address -- --s.slyman@sbcglobal.net and I will honor all requests
immediately.
Unless otherwise mentioned, all of the holy Scripture used in my ponderings
come from the NIV version of the Holy Bible. Please note the following
statement.
