Playing this page: All I Have to Do is Dream Sweet, Innocent Love Here we are approaching Valentine's Day, when thoughts turn to love, love, love. On Saturday evening we kept our youngest grandson Ashton (son's step-son) for awhile for them. He can be a little stinker, what kid can't be that, but on this evening he was so absolutely adorable, and when they came to pick him up, of course they had our granddaughter Aubrey with them. I remember when Mike was dating Alicia and little Ashton was just a baby, Mike said to me, "Mom, I've seen love." He told me he had watched Alicia with Ashton in her glider rocker, soothing him and getting him to go off to dreamland. We talked about this, and we were both dabbing our eyes. I had to agree, he had seen love. I do believe we saw another type of love Saturday night right here in our Family Room. When they came in the house, Alicia sat down with Aubrey in her lap. Ashton likes to get a tissue and pretend he is sneezing. When Aubrey saw him doing this she threw back her head and laughed like we'd never heard her before and it was just so sweet. Her eyes followed her brother and you could see the love in them. A couple of times Ashton would take her face in his hands and kiss her on the forehead saying, "I love you, Aubrey." Then she would giggle some more. Ashton tells anyone who asks him how he loves his sister. Oh yes, we realize this may be gone when she is walking and aggravating him, but for now, I know we have seen sweet innocent love between this brother and sister, and how sweet it is. We all laughed with delight each time Ashton made Aubrey laugh, and it sure did fill this room with love and warm feelings in our hearts. Ashton and Aubrey
