Flying Free

By Dianne Fox © 2011

Above is a picture I painted for my Son-in-law Jay, about 6 years ago. I felt it was appropriate since he was in the Air Force and stationed in Alaska.  As I pondered what I wanted to write about I browsed through my past efforts to express myself.  It sometimes peaks my mind and I follow in the direction I can pursue.

When I came across this painting I just couldn’t get away from the feeling of flying freer then I have ever been before.  Flying wa-a-ay above all my problems and worries and just feeling the wind flowing through my hair (Putting myself in the eagles place). I felt exhilarated with the crisp, cold air flowing over my body.

Swooping down into valleys and rising above the mountain peaks, I could see how God meant our lives to be.  Gone were the unpleasant happenings we made in our lives that created pain and tears.  Gone were the lies of satan and his destructive minions.  No more would these things have any meaning or place in our lives.

Instead I could see a beautiful clear world meant for the children of God.  One of pure innocence that only a child could have.  It meant as a child I would trust and follow the Father.  Wherever He wanted me to go and I would do whatever He wanted me to do.  WHY? Because I love Him and he is, not only my Father God, but He is my Creator.  God wants only the best for me and He knows how I should live.  God has already laid out a plan for my life and if I follow it I will be with Him always.

Isn’t this a true picture of the world our heavenly Father gave us?  In the Bible, Mark 10:15 it states “anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter into heaven”.  Very simply this means for us to come to God, our Father without doubt, without fear, with trust, with love, with excitement.

As we look forward to a New Year maybe you can look back over this issue and take a deep breath, close your eyes and feel cooled and refreshed knowing our Father God has everything under control.

Until next time, go with God,

Dianne
