Sydney is a Runner for Sure!

Granddaughter, age 12 in red, is a cross country runner, but she runs with the girls' varsity team in Hancock County. She finished third in the multi-school race pictured above at Owensboro, KY, but last weekend finished FIRST in a multi-school meet in Dixon, KY. Not bad for a 6th grader running with/against high school gals! Needless to say, we are very proud of our Sydney!

Emilie's Latest Flood Wall Mural Panel

This is my daughter Emilie's latest (and I think best) of the floodwall panels she is doing for our local Historical Society. This one shows several famous floods, including the '37 flood. The little boy in the bottom is now an elderly man who has introduced himself to Emilie as she was painting.
