I Need Your Help By Car Ok, let's get right to it.....I need your help. I've always told anyone who asked that this is OUR magazine, so I would love to have your input on the subject of Theme. The first couple of issues I put in a theme just to get some writing ideas started, but as far as it having to be there in each issue, well, I did that because so many asked me to. Let me tell you, after 116 issues, almost 10 years, themes have been repeating. Even with help from others in getting theme ideas, repeats seem to happen. Also, sometimes I feel after so long a theme should be done again because there are new people reading, and maybe they need some advice about illness, or MS in particular. There are some new ways we could go.....I could establish a new contents area in our navigation bar to deal with MS issues, and I think that would be a good go-to place for folks looking for information from someone dealing with MS. How does that sound to you? I know if you've been dealing with the MonSter for years, you might be sick and tired of talking about it, maybe thinking you've said all you have to say on the subject. I understand that. But just maybe something will occur to you that just might me the something that someone else really needs to hear about. I could even subdivide this section.....say a sub-section on the MS medications, or maybe alternative medications. I feel there could be several subdivisions here if needed. Maybe we could just have a Theme during certain times of the year, like a holiday theme, or several of those throughout a year. That might give us a time to get nostalgic, even. Perhaps nostalgia could even be a regular topic here? Maybe having a place to reminisce might be a good idea for a section in the magazine. So, instead of a Theme for June, I'd love to hear from you, and if you'd address these questions it'd be a real help to me, so here goes: 1. Is a monthly theme still needed in the magazine? Yes or No 2. Would a new contents section about dealing with MS be good for the magazine? Yes or No 3. Do you think there would be enough sent in to a new section on dealing with MS to subdivide it? Yes or No 4. Do you think having intermittent Holiday Themes would be a good idea? Yes or No I'd be interested in hearing anything you have to say on this subject, and your input would be a great help to me. I have a feeling this could be the start of something good, or should I say some MORE good, in the magazine. You guys and gals are the best, never forget that. I'll look forward to anything you have to say on the subject, at least on the four points above. Please, don't be shy about letting me know your feelings. If for any reason you don't want your name attached to your ideas, just tell me that. Otherwise, I'll put in the ideas and comment you send me for the June Theme. Sounds like a theme to me..... there I go again, forgive me! Y'all have a wonderful month. Remember whatever you have to say is always welcome. Remember we have Real Life Stories for so much that doesn't find a home elsewhere in the magazine. Don't forget about writing creatively, too. Actually, that's the reason I first established the magazine, as a place people could have to see their creative poems and short stories find a home. This magazine is still here for those endeavors, so have at it! Send your comments on the four questions above to: carreynolds0291@sbcglobal.net. Please put "Theme" on the subject line of your email so I'll know what's arriving. Thank you in advance for your help!
