The World of MS  MuSings

The most inspirational people in my life are my Ms Friends. They all seem to have special qualities which set them apart from the general population.

It never fails, but they all seem to be very very smart, ambitious, DRIVEN, and very kind.

I have had MS for over 10 yrs. and the story is  usually the same. Really wonderful people whose lives where changed by the illness, but instead of giving up they all chose a different way to live. In some cases they are the wind beneath the wings of those around them.

MS friends go to plays, parties, seminars, volunteer work, and family activities even if getting there is tough and not for the faint of heart.

Rain or shine, evenings, or early mornings u can really count on them for their support and smiling faces.

They have special transportation take them, or drive slowly, or have them delivered to the events by caring friends or family. The reward they receive is very evident specially at  Medical Seminar, Monthly MS meetings, the MS Walkathon, or Woman's Retreat.

Many MS'ers are separated by the illness from so called "regular" activities due to the weather (heat) or distance (unable to get there). The MS activities give us a chance to really connect, and bond in a very special way.

I feel very fortunate to be part of this very tight community of inspirational Ms Friends which have helped me carry the torch year after year. You can pick up a phone, write and email or visit with MS'ers and always leave with either more knowledge or stronger bond.

It seems funny but most of my friends have Ms now ...I feel so at home with them ...its an elite club...and I am proud to be a member.
