Poem

By Sherry Kersey

Shuffled Into The Shadows

Shuffled into the age shadows
"I will never be!"
Hey! I`ve got too many Irish genes
and a soul full of hilarity.

Ok, Ok, so who gives a fiddlers flip if
I`m no raving beauty or serve 3 full meals a day,
It's time for me to be a roving gypsy
doing things my way.

So I`m gonna dance the tango and fox trot
if only in my feeble mind,
Who says ya gotta be a perfectly correct senior
to get in the mental dancing line?

Gheez, I love to cavort with Dino, Frank,
and Tony, on a pavilion in balmy South America
anytime I please........
Aaaah `the musical magic is unparalleled,
as I simply close my eyes and ~~soar~~
with the evening's breeze.
