Poem

By Sherry Kersey

If I Were A Rabbit

If I were a rabbit I`d
bury deep with in my den,
Cause Mother Natures on a roll
without a solitary friend.

She huff`s and Puff`s and Huff`s and Puff`s
fanning those old cold biting winter winds,
Guess she don't know "Enough`s Enough"
cause she's overlooking constant sorrows a sin.

It seems that rolling Mississippi
is her favorite sport of day,
She's somehow forgotten `farmers need
dry soil to get new crops on their way.

I think she's maybe lost her marbles
and days news has her erratic tail in a sting,
Cause she seems to also have forgotten
the Sweet Pleasures of Spring.
