Poem

By Sherry Kersey

Foolish - Maybe

As my hearing fades, my vision dims,
and mobility slows, I may be foolish
but "I Know" ....
None can be without hope
lest they let the old tunes go.

Those who gave credence to living
youth's dreams reached for,
Doors opened and closed - still memory
holds joy in store....

Like big bands
we've become relics of the past,
Yet  however outdated we may be
we are the instruments of history
that forever last.

Pre and baby boomers have
the key to peace's wisdom, today's folks
somehow can not see that called
"Timed Melody!"
